2018 Flat Track Canada Rules Meeting

All are welcome to attend the Flat Track Canada Rules Meeting  Saturday, January 6th at the North American Motorcycle Supershow. The meeting will start at 6:00pm in the Room 105 in HALL 1 of The International Centre in Toronto.
Rule and class structure are proposed to be changed. Please join us and vote on the change. We will also be talking about logistics on this years national series and different options on traveling on further destinations.

The meeting went very well and was productive. Here are a few things covered:

  1. Logistics of the Eastern Riders (Pro – Expert & Intermediate) racing the two Western races. Each racer will be allotted a set amount of space for 1 bike and their tools/equipment at no charge in transport trailers. If requiring more space, say for another bike, a fee would be charged. Flight tickets are currently coming in around the $250 mark (I will double check if that is round trip or one way.)
  2. Combining classes: It was tabled about combining the Expert and Intermediate DTX class due to the reduced Expert participation. The conversation was that all the experts would make it through to finals and the top Intermediates, and therefore could prove to be detrimental to the Intermediates comfort and growth as racers. Recommendation was to up the purse for the Expert DTX and make it more enticing for Experts to run. So classes are remaining as two – Intermatiate DTX and Expert DTX.
  3. Twin Class – There will be a Demonstration Twins Class with payout at the 3 largest tracks on the National Series. This calss is open to Intermediates and Experts.
  4. Rules in regards to the ATV Production and ATV Modified are to be added to the Rules book when is comes to Tech – it will be covered in a future meeting. It mainly regarding chassis and wheel base widths.
