Round Six Brings Flat Track Back to Georgian Downs

After taking most of the month of August off, the Flat Track Canada National series presented by Parts Canada, returns to action September 14th at Georgian Downs. The beautiful 5/8th mile track located just south of Barrie, will offer fans plenty of action as riders will reach speeds in excess of 100 mph as they battle for their share of the $7690 purse that is up for grabs.

With 2018 champ Dustin Brown winning four of the first five rounds, the time is now for Tyler Seguin, Chris Evans, Dave Pouliot, and others if they hope to claw their way back into the points battle for the coveted number one plate. Brown currently leads Seguin by 21 points and with Georgian Downs being the closest track to home; you know Brown will be looking to leave the field in his dust when the prize money and points are on the line. Last season Brown put on a clinic at this event in taking the checkers in all his races so Seguin and the gang have their work cut out for them.

Saturday will see heat race action begin at 3:00 with an autograph session scheduled from 5:30-6:30. Opening ceremonies are set for 6:45 and feature events will begin at 7:00. General admission for the event is just $30.

As well as a full range of racing classes, the facility will have many other activities happening for the eager fans in attendance. There will be a pre-race tailgate party, Harley-Davidson demo rides, give-a-ways and a fully licensed after party featuring a live band.
